Thousands come to Schiranna in memory of Claudio Castiglioni.

Varese, 12 July 2015 – An unforgettable weekend at Schiranna just ended with the grand prize draw of the unique “Claudio Castiglioni” edition MV Agusta Turismo Veloce motorcycle. The winning number was 2180, drawn on a splendid summer day by DJ Ringo, who, with many other illustrious guests such as WSS championship riders Lorenzo Zanetti and Jules Cluzel, Giacomo Agostini, ex-Dakar rider Ciro and other well-known personalities surrounded by the many, many fans, turned out to admire yesterday’s and today’s motorcycles built at the Varese factory. This is the holy land for many fans, which Saturday evening also became the venue for the much-applauded concert with Paul Bernadoli and the group Peter’s Room.
There were over 300 bikes entered with many of them from abroad, especially Germany, Switzerland and Holland. Among the prize-winners was a Cagiva Elefant 900 with over 345,000 km on the clock, a splendid Aermacchi TV 350 and a customised F4 bearing the AMG livery. The Mercedes Benz high performance brand was also represented, for the very first time in Italy, by the famous 300 SEL “Rote Sau” and a flame red GT S coupé.
The day ended with a very choreographic final burnout, with fans using the symphony of the motorcycle engines as a last loving tribute to the unforgettable Claudio Castiglioni.
